Team for Life Training Toolkit

Welcome Team for Life athletes!

The coming months will challenge and inspire you!

Finishing an endurance event is easy when you are physically and mentally prepared. Team for Life has the experience and resources to support your efforts from the start to the finish line.

I recommend you start walking 30 minutes a day at least 5 times a week. If the weather prohibits this and you don't have a treadmill, go to a mall, (who knows you may find a great sale?). The goal is to increase your activity and prepare your mind and body for training. Training will consist of weekly assignments with detailed instructions. We will start slow, short and easy. You do not have to breathe hard to train your body to finish an endurance event.

Your first assignment: Go to the mirror and look yourself in the eyes and say "I'm going to finish a marathon," then call a friend and tell them too.

When you lack motivation, know that your fundraising is providing HOPE for people who need you! You will meet our patients and communicate with them. I guarantee your life will forever be changed during this adventure with Team for Life and The Lazarex Cancer Foundation.
