Team for Life Fundraising Tools and Tips
Welcome to the Lazarex Cancer Foundation Team for Life
Fundraising Center! Here you'll find all the tools and tips you'll
need to successfully reach your fundraising goal. We'll start with
three easy steps to success:
Step 1: Create your personal fundraising page on active.com (the
link for this was sent via email from active when you registered for
your event). Follow that link and customize your fundraising page.
Step 2: Let everyone know you're participating and raising money for Lazarex Cancer Foundation. This is the most effective way to raise
money. You can send the form email provided by active.com on your
personal fundraising page, or you can use the template we've
provided here to send from your own email program. Feel free to
personalize the letter. We've indicated where you might want to do
that with square brackets [ ]. We have also provided a donation form
with suggested giving levels that you can include with your note.

Make donating easy by walking your supporters step-by-step through
the donation procedure. Be sure to include your URL address for your
personal fundraising webpage powered by Active.com so that people
can easily donate online. You can also include a link in your email
to your personal fundraising page as an additional way of letting
folks know about your training and fundraising for Team for Life.
Step 3: Wait a few weeks for people to respond. Thank those
that have donated. When you receive checks or cash, you will need to
add the amounts onto your webpage to track your progress. To do
this, you will go to the "customize your webpage" link from the
original email sent to you by active.com or visit www.active.com/donations
and log in to your Active.com account. Click on the "Track Offline
Donations" tab, and enter the information. This will add the donor
and amount to your totals. Then mail the checks to the Lazarex
Cancer Foundation office at P.O. Box 741, Danville, CA 94526.
Some people are not comfortable using their credit cards online and
will give you their credit card information on your sponsor sheet
instead. You can also enter this information directly on your
personal fundraising page.
Follow up with regular updates on your training to thank your
supporters and inspire others to give.
