Very Important Patient Update: “Mission Accomplished” for Ruth

Ruth is the first Lazarex Cancer Foundation patient in an FDA clinical trial for pancreatic cancer declared to be in clinical remission!

What a blessing! Ruth was diagnosed with recurrent cancer in her pancreas on July 25, 2008. She was advised that she may have up to 7 months to live at the most. There were no viable treatment options for her. Ruth became a Lazarex patient over one year ago. She entered a Rexin-G clinical trial in California and has been responding quite well. So well in fact that in October 2009 Ruth was declared to be clinical remission!

We at Lazarex are deeply grateful to all of you for your generous support. This and many other life affirming experiences would not be possible without you. Our mission is to provide resources for cancer patients who’ve been told they have no other options, but who are not yet done with their journey in life and refuse to give up now. Thank you on behalf of our patients, their families and friends.

If you are inspired to contribute to Lazarex there are many ways you can help us reach our goal:

  • Make a year-end donation to Lazarex
  • Make a donation to the Bonnie Young Legacy  which supports treatment for pancreatic cancer patients in our “It’s About Life” program
  • Check our Events page for the many fundraising opportunities in 2010 and participate in one of them
  • Share the news about how we help end stage cancer patients.
  • Volunteer
