The inaugural “Hit a Home Run for Hope” Camarillo Pony Baseball Clinic raises $5,500 for Lazarex Cancer Foundation
On January 10th Kip Yaughn represented Lazarex Cancer Foundation at the Camarillo Pony Baseball Clinic to honor Bonnie Young and raise funds for Lazarex; here is his summary of the day:
The first annual clinic in Camarillo was a huge success! Roger Frash did a wonderful job in organizing and running the day’s events. The one hundred thirty (130) or so kids in attendance were never bored, moving station to station all day. It looked like a miniature spring training being run by professionals. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Major props go out to the Oxnard College coaching staff and players that ran the stations the kids went through. Roger really did a great job setting it all up. The Young family seemed to be very pleased with the day also. Delmon and Dmitri were all smiles along with their father Larry! I look forward to future clinics and next year in Camarillo for sure.
